The Amulet of Horus

This symbol represents the Eye of the falcon god, Horus god of the sky. It is also called the oudjat eye, which means complete.

To the death of Osiris, it was his brother Seth who regained power in Egypt. Wanting to avenge his father, Horus goes to war against his uncle. After many battles, Seth is defeated and Horus takes over the throne of Egypt. However, during a battle, Horus loses an eye. The latter, broken into 6 pieces, is reconstituted by Thoth and returned to its owner. The wedjat eye has thus become the symbol of the victory of good over evil.

This eye also symbolizes wholeness, health and integrity. Because of its powerful protective powers, it was used in Egypt as a lucky amulet with magical virtues: it made you invincible and brought clairvoyance. This symbol is believed to offer protection, health and rejuvenation.
